Jennifer MacRobbie

Hi, I'm Jennifer MacRobbie – and welcome to Gotta Have HeART Studio, a creative space in Severna Park, MD, dedicated to inspiring artistic expression for all ages. With over 22 years of experience as an art educator, I’m passionate about helping others discover the joy and freedom of creating art in a supportive, relaxed, and encouraging environment.

I hold a degree in Art and Art History from Salisbury University and have taught students from Pre-K through 8th grade, guiding young artists through foundational skills and creative exploration. My experience spans a variety of mediums, including oil painting, pastels, clay, photography, printmaking, papier-mâché, and more.

Opening this art studio has been a lifelong dream—one rooted in my love for teaching and my belief that everyone has an inner artist waiting to be awakened. At Gotta Have HeART Studio, we welcome painters, sculptors, and craft enthusiasts of all backgrounds to explore, learn, and grow together.

I’m proud to call Severna Park home for over a decade, where I live with my husband and our three children. Becoming a small business owner here allows me to give back to the community that has given so much to me.

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist, I invite you to join us and make art from the heART.

Christine Martel

Hi, I’m Christine Martel – co-founder of Gotta Have HeART Studio and proud sister to my business partner, Jennifer. As a lifelong creative and passionate educator, I’m excited to bring our shared vision to life right here in Severna Park, MD.

I’m a happily married mom of four amazing boys and a longtime resident of Linthicum, Maryland. I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Business, and for the past eight years, I’ve loved working as a Pre-K 4's teacher. Before that, I was a full-time mom—one of the most creative and rewarding roles I’ve ever had!

Creativity has always been at the heart of who I am. From crafting to classroom projects, I enjoy turning everyday moments into imaginative experiences. My goal at Gotta Have HeART Studio is to create a welcoming, joyful environment where children and adults alike can feel free to explore, express, and grow through art.

Together, Jennifer and I have built a studio that goes beyond art classes. With hands-on workshops, inspiring exhibitions, and collaborative community projects, we aim to foster connection, imagination, and confidence. At Gotta Have HeART Studio, we believe that art has the power to transform perspectives and bring people together.

We’re not just a studio—we’re a creative family. And we’d love for you to be a part of it.

Let’s make something beautiful together.
